Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (B.T) is an undergraduate degree program offered at NVPAS. Duration of the program is Four years as per NEP 2020 with effect from Academic Year 2023-24. The program is considered as a foundation course for students who want to make their career in the field of Biotechnology.
Biotechnology is an integretion of knowledge about life and and living organisms with modern technology to create new systems,devices,materials,food etc. In fact, the use and application of biotechnology spans a wide range of activities, including developing new varieties of seeds, improving live stocks breeds, creating pesticides of various kinds, formulating cures for genetic disorders and developing industrial enzymes that hasten the production processes.
Students intending to take admission to F. Y. Biotechnology must have passed Higher Secondary Examination 12th standard in Science "B Group" from Recoginzed board.
